John Jenkins
Brother John is a graduate of Hyles-Anderson College in Indiana and has been with Bible Missionary Baptist Church since its foundation. He initially served as Youth Pastor under the leadership of Pastor Dave Thaxton.
On August 3, 2014, following the passing of Pastor Dave Thaxton, Brother John was elected pastor of the church. He continues to faithfully lead the congregation with the same heart for the Gospel and love for this community that has defined Bible Missionary Baptist Church since 1992.
Brother John and his wife are devoted to walking with church members through every season of life — sharing in joys, standing alongside in difficulty, and pointing always to the hope found in Christ.

Founding Pastor
Honoring Dave Thaxton
Pastor Dave Thaxton shepherded Bible Missionary Baptist Church for 21 years prior to his passing. Throughout those years, he worked alongside Brother John Jenkins to build a love for Christ in our area.
He believed there was a need for a fundamental, Bible-believing church in our community, and the Lord used him to start a church that has led many people to salvation. Many of his sermons are still available on our YouTube channel for all to enjoy and be encouraged by.
Bible Missionary Baptist Church continues to build on the spiritual foundation Pastor Thaxton established in 1992.
