Our Mission

To glorify God by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping believers through the faithful teaching of Scripture, and serving our community with the love of Christ.

Our History

Bible Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1992 by Pastor Dave Thaxton, who saw a need for a fundamental, Bible-believing church in our area. He led the congregation for 21 years, working alongside Brother John Jenkins to build a love for Christ in this community. After Pastor Thaxton's passing in 2014, Brother John was elected pastor, and the church continues to build on that faithful foundation today.

What to expect

  • A warm welcome. Come as you are — we'll save you a seat and answer any questions.
  • Traditional worship. Hymns, prayer, and Bible-based preaching in a reverent, family setting.
  • A welcoming family. Whether you've walked with the Lord for years or are exploring faith for the first time, you belong here.
  • About an hour. Sunday morning services run roughly one hour.
